Pixel starburst

The starburst is of similar construction to both the icicles and the snowflakes. I used strips of white pvc cut from electrical trunking to form the base of this element. These were cut to the same width as the square silicone tubing. Four strips were used to form the eight spokes that make up this element and super glued in the middle.

As can be seen in the images the led strip were cut into individual single leds and spaced further apart. All of the wires are brought through small drill holes in the pvc to the back and connected there. Low modulus neutral curing silicone sealant is used to seal the ends. The centre section was also sealed with silicone and then clear heat-shrink placed in layers over this and around the back and overlapped (image 2 and 3).
